Johnny O. Harris Memorial Park

Johnny O. Harris Park (JOHMP)

Johnny O. Harris Memorial Park is dedicated to the Muskegon Heights officer, who died in the line of duty in 1975. The park is a 10.5 acre, located near the northwest boundary of the Woodcliffe neighborhood. Little Black Creek runs through the center of the site and two (2) foot bridges along a central path links the park together. It is designed to accommodate large numbers of people for a wide variety of day uses. The softball field and the basketball courts are located in a floodplain area. Restrooms, maintenance building and parking lot are on high ground adjacent to the park. The north picnic area overlooks the softball field and open areas and a ridge that runs along the western border of the park.
